Introduction
We are one of five churches in the Kidderminster & Stourport Circuit of the Methodist Church.
Methodism is a Christian denomination that grew out of the Church of England in the 18th Century.  John Wesley,  a C of E priest, had an experience in which he received an assurance of his own salvation thanks to the grace of God and the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Wesley felt called  to preach to ordinary people not only in churches but in the open air and in their homes.
He came to Bewdley to preach six times and inspired a small group of townspeople to build their own Methodist church in High Street.  The church opened in 1795 and still offers a warm welcome to all.
